What is the nature of clocks used in spaceships?

They are not exactly like clocks on the earth ,they are somewhat like clocks inside the computers which keep track of time...........It is very much necessary for the astraunauts  the astraunaut to keep track of time...bcoz in space communication there is a gap of 40 min round trip light time

The clocks used in spaceships do not have any mechanical working.

They are digital clocks and compute time digitally.
