What is "nature" of roots ?

It refers to, wether the Follwing quadratic equation's root or any other equations root is wether, Real imaginary or any other form.

How are they Calculated?

Using the discriminamt formula

b²-4ac=D

when,

D>=0

they are real and if D<0

they are imaginary!!

Where , b,a,c are basically the coefficiats of variables of anyother.

Now,

QUESTION:-

what is the nature of roots of 3x²-5x+3=0.

SOLUTION:-

taking out the discriminant,

=>D=b²-4ac

=>D= (-5)²-4.(3)(3)

=> D= 25-36

=>D= -11

Which means D is less then that of 0.

or is negative!!

And accoring to the rule, if its negative it has IMAGINARY ROOTS.

So,

Roots of equation are imaginary!!
