The nature of image formed at retina of human eye is real and inverted, but our brain interprets the image in the erect form.

HUMAN EYE HAS A CONVEX LENS WHICH CONVERGES THE LIGHT RAYS AND BRING INTO OUR EYES THROUGH CORNEA AND THE PUPIL. THE LENS FOCUSES LIGHT RAYS ON THE RETINA WHERE A DIMINISHED AND INVERTED IMAGE OF THE OBJECT IS FORMED. THE PHOTORECEPTORS RODS AND CONES CONVERT THIS IMAGE INTO AN ELECTRICAL IMPULSES. THE ELECTRIC IMPULSE IS SENT TO THE BRAIN THROUGH OPTIC NERVE. OUR BRAIN INTERPRETS THE IMPULSES AND BE A FREE HAND THE WHAT WE HAVE SEEN. THUS WE SEE AN UPRIGHT IMAGE. THIS IS HOW THE IMAGE IS FORMED IN RETINA.
