What is the nature of the image formed by a convex lens if the magnification produced by a convex lens is -0.5?

Given ,

The magnification produced by a convex lens is - 0.5

We know that ,

  • If magnification (m) is positive , the image is virtual and erect
  • If magnification (m) is negative , the image is real and inverted
  • if m is less than 1 , the image is magnified
  • if m is greater than 1 , the image is diminished
  • if m is equal to 1 , the size of image is same as the object

Therefore , the nature of the image formed by given convex lens are magnified , real and inverted
