Given : P(4, 4), Q(– 2, – 2), R(5, 5) and S(– 3, – 3)

To Find  : nature of the line which passes through the points

Solution:

P(4, 4), Q(– 2, – 2), R(5, 5) and S(– 3, – 3)

P(4, 4), Q(– 2, – 2)

slope = (-2 - 4)/(/(-2 - 4)  = ( - 6 / - 6)  =  1

Equation of line

y  - 4  = 1 (x - 4)

=> y  = x

Similarly

P(4, 4),  R(5, 5)

slope = 1

Equation of line  is y = x

PS also y = x

Hence  P , Q , R & S all lie son same line

Hence a straight line passes through all the point with slope 1

inclined at 45 deg angle with x axis.
