Its nature is acidic. You will get its answer in your next class. Actually SO2 and SO3 behaves as LEWI's ACID (higher order, don't worry). Any species which attracts a lone pair of electrons towards itself is called Lewi's acid. Further when its oxides (SO2 or SO3) when dissolved in water give H2SO4 -sulphuric acid and H2SO3 (sulphurous acid).
