- Monocot stems have most of their vascular bundles near the outside edge of the stem .
- they are scattered in the ground tissue.
- They are of different size and the smaller being restricted to peripheral sides.
- Each vascular bundle is encircled by bundle sheath made up of sclerenchyma .
- There is no bundle gap .
