-> near point 25cm

-> far point is closer than infinity

*hypermetropic eye

-> near point is farther than 25cm

-> far point is infinity

The far point for this eye is at infinity (effectively anywhere beyond ~ 5 m). Nearsighted (myopic) eye: The image point of an object point at infinity is formed in front of the retina. The far point of this eye is closer than infinity; the eye cannot form a clear image of any object point beyond this far point.

For an unaccommodated myopic eye, the far point is closer than 6 m. It depends upon the refractive error of the person's eye. For an unaccommodated hypermetropic eye, incident light must be converging before entering the eye so as to focus on the retina.
