◆The need of local government in India are●
1. Local government are more familiar with their problems and are able to offer better solution.
2. The village community participates more actively in developmental measure since it is for their own benefits.
3. It reduces the work of central and state government.
4)To administer and govern a large country a large country like India, it is imperative that powers are divided between the central authority and provinces and the local bodies.
5)To ensure participation of the weaker section of the society.

A) to give due organisation two countries diverse population alllowing diverse groups within the states to participate in the Governance of the country...
B) to ensure participation of the weaker section of the society...
C) to inculcate a sense of planning and better management of resources in the people at the Grass root level...
