Let’s consider what a network is before figuring out why we need it.
A network is simply a bunch of computers that are connected to each other and can communicate.
Why do we want/need computers to communicate? For all sorts of things! The internet is the largest network there is and without networks there simply is no internet.
That being said, we need networks for more than just the internet, but you get the gist.

Network is a group of devices link to one another e.g..., network of trains Telephone Network, Cable Network, and so on.
Networking is needed because :
- It Breaks the barriers of distance cost and time .
- it is very cost effective as compared to telephone networks .
- all types of data text audio , video , pictures , graphics ,etc . can be transmitted through it .
