ACTUALLY, a cell needs that ALL, a living thing (plant/ animal or microorganism) needs. Most importantly, oxygen (deprivation of which would be causing death of cell at the earliest) and sugars for making it's own energy (ATP) Water for normal functioning and to micro extent all other chemicals like, fats, proteins, enzymes, minerals, hormones, antibodies either for their functioning or repair or protection. Normal temperature for normal functioning.(Deprivation of these may cause death of a cell to some extent either quantitatively or qualitatively.
