BRYOPHYTES ARE CALLED THE AMPHIBIANS OF THE PLANT KINGDOM BECAUSE THEY WERE THE FIRST PLANTS THAT COULD SURVIVE ON LAND BUT DEPENDED ON WATER FOR REPRODUCTION.
NEED FOR CLASSIFICATION-
1.it makes study of large varieties of animals easy
2.it helps us study the pattern of evolution

the need of classification is that it allows scientist to identify groups and properly name organism.

Amphibians are those organism which live on both land and in water. Bryophytes are called amphibians of the plants Kingdom because this plants through live in soil but they need water for sexual reproduction this sperm of bryophyte are flagellate and need water to swim to the eggs in other words as this plants need water for reproduction unlike other plants they are called amphibians.
