hey there!

We need to classify the organisms due to the following reasons:

- There are millions of organisms on earth...and  we  would be unable to study all the organisms one by one.

Hence, organisms with similar characteristics are grouped together , and so does it makes our study easier.
eg .Periplaneta  Americana is grouped under the phylum arthropoda with the other members such as Cimex, louse, Bombyx morai etc.

- It helps in identifying evolutionary relationships within different organisms by arranging them in  the increasing order of complexity.
eg. two pairs of limbs was not an essential character in the class pisces, cyclostomata, however it later evolved in some members of amphibia.

-It can also help us to know about the varieties of a particular species.

-It helps us to understand  the inter-relationships between different organisms.

#hope it helped u!
