Second ordinary party took place in November 1995 in Jakarta.
Third ordinary party took place in 1996 in Argentina. 
Fourth ordinary party took place in May 1998 in Slovakia.
First Extraordinary meeting of the Conference of the Parties took place in February 1995 in Colombia.
Fifth ordinary meeting took place in May 2000 in Kenya.
Sixth ordinary meeting took place in April 2002 in Netherlands. 
Seventh meeting took place in February 2004 in Malaysia.
Ninth meeting took place in May 2008 in Germany.
Preparations for world wide views on biodiversity has begun involving partners and building on the experience from world wide views on global warming.
