It is needed because generally hybrid cattle have higher yield compared to local breeds.. This causes high rate of income to the farmer who are raising hybrid cattle...

The exotic breeds of cattle are the breeds that are imported from different regions across the globe. They are high milching animals giving over 7 to 8 liters of milk per day.
But, still they are hybridized with local breeds of cattle. The reasons are:
- Hybridization increases the resistance of the cattle to indigenous pests and other infectious agents.
- Most of the exotic breeds come from colder climate, which is why they are unable to thrive here.
