Memories are used to store the large data. memory can store the data for a long time.

1) primary memory 
2) secondary memory

Needs of secondary memories are as follows 

:- 

1) secondary memory is used to store the data, when there is no secondary memory then computer cant store the data.  

2) if there is no secondary memory then there will not be RAM because RAM is the type of secondary memory 

3) if there is no memory then there is no space in the computer, due to there is no space data also cannot be stored 

4) if data can't store in the computer then there is no use of that computer
