All living organisms require transportation system because all the essential things required by all organisms are not synthesized in every organ or not every essential thing required for life is not at all places.

For example the lungs receive oxygen that is necessary for the entire body and hence this needs to be transported through a system to different parts of the body.

similarly in plants the food is prepared at one place that is the leaves and no needs to be transported throughout the ‘body of the plant’.
