Answer:

he Bombay high court has asked the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination popularly known as ICSE board to present an alternative grading system for Class 10th, 12th students who choose not to appear physically for the pending exams.

Chief Justice Dipankar Datta and Justice S S Shinde who were present in the bench to hear the case, directed ICSE board to come up with its plan for alternative grading by June 22. "Let the board specify its methodology by June 22 for approval. Once it is approved, we believe, all students and parents would be able to make an informed decision," the bench said.

The bench was hearing a PIL that was filed by advocate Arvind Tiwari, whose child is a student of class 10. He urged the court to direct all concerned authorities to scrap the remaining exams, taking into account the risk involved in conducting exams in the current situation.
