Newton's first law of motion - sometimes referred to as the law of inertia. An object at rest stays at rest and an object in motionstays in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force.

\underline\bold{Newton's\:First\:Law\:of\:motion:-}

It states that a body continues to remain in its state of rest or of uniform motion along a straight line until & unless an external unbalanced force acts on it.

☆ It is also known as the law of Inertia.
