Hallo!

In a solution of ammonia the maximum number of hydrogen bonds which an ammonia molecule may have on average is one, because ammonia has only one lone pair.

In a solution of ammonia the maximum number of hydrogen bonds which an ammonia molecule may have on average is one, because ammonia has only one lone pair. The maximum number of hydrogen bonds an ammonia molecule may have is three, because three hydrogens per molecule are available for hydrogen bonding.

Tanya9368: par hm priority kis answer ko denge.. 3 H bonds or 1 H bond.. if it will come in exam?
Anonymous: read my answer carefully.. both are correct... but in @mcq.. you will get any option from both.. then after looking your answer easily, you can choose your correct answer.
