Answer:

HEY MATE HERE IS YOUR ANSWER.

Explanation:

The Non-Cooperation Movement was a significant but short phase of the Indian independence movement from British rule. It was led by Mahatma Gandhi after the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre and lasted from 1920 to February 1922. It aimed to resist British rule in India through non-violence . Protesters would refuse to buy British goods, adopt the use of local handicrafts and picket liquor shops. The ideas of Ahinsa (or non-violence), and Gandhi's ability to rally hundreds of thousands of common citizens towards the cause of Indian independence, were first seen on a large scale in this movement through the summer of 1920.

The Non-Cooperation movement was started by Gandhiji because of 5 reasons basically called the 5 tensions of Gandhi.

(a) One of Rowlatt act’s provision stating Indians can be arrested without a trail.

The above 5 are all the happenings of 1919. So, in against to them, Gandhi started the Non-Cooperation movement which includes the boycott of titles, educational institutions, contesting in elections etc.

The movement was started in 1920 and continued successfully till early 1922 with the principles of Gandhiji. But, in February 1922, Chauri-Chaura incident took place in Chauri-Chaura village of UP where policestation was attacked and several police personnel were killed by a mob owing to the attempt of the police to stop the movement.

That incident was obviously against to Gandhi's principles. So, he immediately stopped the Non-Cooperation movement and his idea of starting civil disobedience movement too. Later he was arrested, for he was the leader of NCM and imprisoned for 6 years.
