North-South and East-West extent of India:

  • India is vast stretch of land extending over thousands of kilometres both in length and breadth.
  • It is Northernmost point is Indira Col in Siachen glacier present in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. It is latitude is 35°39′52″N and longitude is 76°47′52″E.
  • Its southern most point is Indira Point which is located on Nicobar district of Andaman and Nicobar islands. Its coordinates are 6.780621°N and 93.8258513°E.
  • It is easternmost part is state of Arunachal Pradesh which is border with Myanmar.
  • It is westernmost part is Sir Creek which is located in Indus delta in state of Gujrat.
