West Bengal is the only state of India which has Himalayas towards its North and Bay of Bengal in its south. The north of the stated is bound by Sikkim and Bhutan.
Toward the south we have the lower gangetic plains and coastal belt. Also there are forests in the southern part of the state; Sunderbans.
