nth term means the number of terms of an ap for eg. 1,2,3........100
so An here is 100,D is 1
by An= a+(n-1)d
100=1+(n-1)1
so,
99=n-1
now,
n= 99+i.e.
100
it was clear that from 1 to 100 will obviously be 100 terms and this was the value of N which u were seeking
