Number of Barr bodies = number of X chromosomes minus one.

So the number of barr bodies in XXXX would be 4-1 =3 leaving one active X.

The inactive X chromosome in a female somatic cell is known as Barr body.

Bar bodies - neutophiles also known as heterophile or polymorph are a type of white blood cell (granulocyte).

In some neutophile of female a dark colour structure attached on nucleus known as drum stick. It is a type of bar body which is used for sex determination, as they are present in the women's WBC only .

The Barr body or the sex chromatin, is the inactive X chromosome in female somatic cells.

So, In humans the number of Barr bodies seen at interphase is always one less than the total number of X chromosomes.

hence - XXXX has 3 bar bodies
