1)Let those four numbers in  the box must be x, y ,z and w

2)So according to the question we get the four equations as follows:

x+y = 8----------------(i)

x+z = 13---------------(ii)

z-w = 6--------------(iii)

y+w = 8---------------(iv)

3)If we add eq. (iii) and (iv) we get, y+z = 14

4)Add eq. (i) and (ii) we get,

2x+y+z = 21

2x + 14 =21

2x = 7/2

x = 7/2

5)Put the value of x in eq.(i), we get,

y = 8-7/2

y = 9/2

6)Again put the value of x in eq.(ii) we get,

z = 13-7/2

z = 19/2

6)now, putting the value of z in eq. (iii) we get,

w = 19/2-6

w = 7/2

The numbers are 7/2, 9/2, 19/2 and 7/2.
