According to TRIA (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India), the number of Wireless subscribers are 1131.01 M by May'2018 and wireline subscribers are 22.51 M.
It is also said that the subscriptions from the rural area had a good increase upto 0.9% during the May month itself. Many networks like Airtel (acquired Telenor and Tata Services),BSNL, IDEA, Vodafone and Jio have attracted the subscribers with stunning offers and have contributed to the growth of the use of mobile subscribers in 2018 as of May.
However, TRIA has also announced that there is also a negative growth rate in some states especially UP (West), Maharashtra and Gujarat.
