RS is parallel to UT. However, RU is not parallel to ST as they will meet at some point. Therefore, there is only one pair of parallel lines.

In this figure, there is only one pair of parallel line which is RS and UT.

parallel lines :-

1. The two lines which will never meet at a point are known as parallel lines.

2. Parallel lines remains at the same distance apart over their entire length.

3. No matter how far you extend them, they will never meet.

In this figure ST and RU are not parallel lines. because when we extend them then they will intersect each other.

The lines which intersect each other are known as interesting lines.

The point at which intersecting lines meet is known as the point of intersection.

Intersecting lines have a main common point.
