Let the digit in one's place be " x "

Ten's digit be " y "

So , Two digit number be , " 10 y + x "

A/c , " The number that has tens digit place, double the one place ​ "

⇒ y = 2x ... (1)

A/c , " sum of the digits is 6 "

⇒ x + y = 6

⇒ x + ( 2x ) = 6 [ From (1) ]

⇒ 3x = 6

⇒ x = 2

Sub. x value in (1) , we get ,

⇒ y = 2(2)

⇒ y = 4

So , the number = 10(4) + 2 = 42
