What is the number that should be subtracted from 682 to make it a perfect square?

since 25² = 625

26² = 676

27² = 729

perfect square smaller and nearer to 682 is 676

let X should be subtracted

682-x =676

X = 682-676

X = 6

thus 6 should be subtracted
