 Let \: one \: digit = x

 Second \: digit = (8-x)

 \blue{ ( \because Sum \: of \: two \:digits \:is \: 8 )}

 Ratio \:of \: digits = 3:1 \:(given)

 \implies \frac{x}{8-x} = \frac{3}{1}

 \implies x = 3(8-x)

 \implies x = 24 - 3x

 \implies x + 3x = 24

 \implies 4x = 24

 \implies x = \frac{24}{4}

 \implies x = 6

Therefore.,
