order of magnitude :- when any number in the form of a × 10ⁿ where 0 < a < 5
Then, n is order of magnitude . But if 5 < a < 10 then order of magnitude is (n+1)

Seconds in a day = 24 × 60 × 60 =86400 sec
= 8.64 × 10⁴ sec
Here you see 5 < 8.64 < 10
∴ order of magnitude = (4 + 1) = 5
