Solution :-

As we know that, y - coordinate of a point is defined as its distance from the x - axis.

Or, we can say that, it measures how much far you go above or below the x - axis to locate the point.

If we have a point on the x - axis itself, its distance from x - axis will be 0.

Therefore,

→ y - coordinate of any point on the x - axis is 0. {or ordinate.}

Hence,

→ Coordinate of a point lying on x - axis = (x , 0).
