we know the charge or valency of iron in Fe2O3 .
let the oxidation no. of Fe be x
the overall charge of neutral compound is 0
there are 2 Fe atoms and 3 oxygen atoms in Fe2O3.
therefore 2x+3(-2)=0
= 2x=+6
= X = +3

Answer:

3

Explanation:

Let O.N of Fe in Fe2O3 be X

Therefore, X(2)+3(-2)=0

Or, 2X=6

Or, X=6/2

Or X=3

Thank you
