What is the oxidation state of carbon in oxalic acid

Oxalic acid = C2H2O4

Oxidation state,

2x + (1×2)+(-2×4) = 0

2x + 2 - 8 = 0

2x - 6 = 0

2x = 6

x = +3

Oxidation state of carbon is +3
