What is the oxidation state of the elements in the following compounds? Cu(NO3)2 ; KNO3

Cu (NO3)2:

+2 +2x+6×(-2)=0

+2+2×-12=0

+2× -10=0

x= 10/2

x=+5

KNO3:

+1 +x +3(-2)=0

+1+x -6=0

+x-5=0

x=+5
