- the passing marks is the minimum marks a student should get in order to promote .
- in CBSE boards, a student of class 10 and 12 must acquire 33% of total mark in order to promote.
- a student should get 33% in the theory, practical and internal assignment to promote the exam.
- so, 33% of 40 marks = 13 marks.
