Answer: 21.11%

Explanation: The shopkeeper is selling at 10% profit on the weight of the product , which  means if the shopkeeper is selling 1 kg to the customer, the shopkeeper is actually selling only

1kg = 1000 gms

1000 gms * (1-10%) = 900 gms

Therefore, the shopkeeper is getting paid for 1000 gms but he is actually selling at 900 gms.

Difference = 1000 gms - 900 gms = 100 gms

Profit earned by selling less on the weight of the product :

Profit on weight of the product = \frac{100}{900} * 100    Profit on weight of the product = 0.11111 * 100  Profit on the weight of the product = 11.111%

Therefore, the total profit on the product = Profit on the weight of product + Profit on selling price.

Profit = 11.11% + 10%

Profit = 21.11%

Let the Cp be 100₹

SP be 110₹ (as profit is 10%)

But he gave only 10% as he was using less weight

So the effective cp would be 90₹

Profit is 20₹ of 90₹

Therefore profit %

=20/90*100

=22.22%
