MOLECULAR MASS OF H20=1x2+16x1=2+16=18 grams

PERCENTAGE OF HYDROGEN IN WATER

= 2/18 x 100%=11.11%

PERCENTAGE OF OXYGEN IN WATER

=16/18 x 100%=88.89%

\huge{\boxed{\rm{\red{Answer}}}}

Molecular mass of H2O=2+16=18g

As there are 2 hydrogen atoms in 1 mole of water ; Molar mass of H in 1 mole of H2O=1×2=2g

Therefore %age of H in H2O = 2/18×100=11.1%

Also molar mass of O in 1 mole of H2O =16g

Therefore, %age of O in H2O=16/18×100=88.9%
