1) We know,

    ( Heat transfer without shield / Heat transfer with shield ) = (1/ n+1)

here, n is the number of radiation shields that are placed in between the two plates. So, n = 7

2) So, ( Heat transfer without shield / Heat transfer with shield ) = 1/8

3) Now, Percentage reduction in heat transfer = (Heat transfer with shield - Heat transfer without shield) / Heat transfer with shield *100

4) So, Percentage reduction in heat transfer = (1-1/8) * 100 = 87.5 %
