• Simile - shows comparison..is correct as it is a poetic device used in literature for comparing two things using words such as (like, as same as, etc...)
• nucleus - processes is correct as nucleus processes the food in unicellular organisms and helps the cell perform functions.
• force - does work is also correct as when we apply force then only we are able to do any work.
And benefactor - controls the app is incorrect..

It's an awesome question for sure.....
Simile is right.In literature whenever we use simile we mean by comparison.You must have heard about some sentences in your text say for example as white as snow / as sweet as honey / she is like a rose .....for comparing purpose we use( like/as ).
so u get to know that simile means comparison.
now let's have a look why others are wrong....
----->benefactor doesn't control the app instead it is mean by the one who benefits the other.Say for example I am helping u to solve a question means at that time I am a benefactor to u
----->nucleus isn't a process u must have heard.Its just a controller of the cell.
----->force is a pull or a push.It tends to change direction/shape etc. Force exist in pair. U must have heard of Newton's third law... every action has equal and opposite reaction.Work is done on something or by something. Product of force and displacement is work.Force is a vector quantity while work is a scalar quantity.
