as we know one decimeter(dm) is equals to

0.1m.

Now

length of rectangle = 8m

breadth of rectangle =0.9m

perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

= 2(8+0.9)

=2×8.9

=17.8m

area of rectangle = l×b

= 8×0.9

=7.2m^2.

we can also calculate it in dm (decimeter)

As

8 metre is equals to 80 decimeter

so

length of rectangle = 80 dm

breadth of rectangle = 9 dm

perimeter of rectangle

=2(l+b)

=2(80+9)

=2×89

=178dm

area of rectangle = l×b

= 80 × 9

=720dm^2
