This is your answer...

We know that perimeter of a triangle = sum of all sides.

Let the sides be a, b and c.
Sum of all all sides = a + b + c

Now, in isosceles triangle, two sides are equal.
So, a = b.
P = a + b + c
P = a + a + c
Perimeter = 2a + c
i.e. 2 X equal side + unequal side.
