\Large{\underline{\underline{\bf{GIVEN:-}}}}

  • Length(l) of the rectangle = 3/4 cm
  • Breadth(b) of the rectangle = 1/4 cm

\Large{\underline{\underline{\bf{ TO \: FIND :-}}}}

  • What is the perimeter of rectangle ?

\Large{\underline{\underline{\bf{ SOLUTION :-}}}}

We have given that, the length and breadth of the rectangle are 3/4 and 1/4 respectively.

We know that the formula for finding the perimeter of the rectangle is:-

\large{\boxed{\bf{\star \: PERIMETER = 2(Length + Breadth)  \: \star}}}

According to question:-

On putting the given values in the formula, we get

\rm{\dashrightarrow Perimeter = 2 \Bigg(\dfrac{3}{4} + \dfrac{1}{4} \Bigg)}

\rm{\dashrightarrow Perimeter = 2 \Bigg(\dfrac{3+1}{4} \Bigg)}

\rm{\dashrightarrow Perimeter = 2 \times \cancel\dfrac{4}{4} }

\rm{\dashrightarrow Perimeter = 2 \times 1}

\large\bf{\dashrightarrow Perimeter = 2 \: cm}

Hence, the perimeter of the rectangle is 2 cm

Given :

  • Reactangle whose length is 3/4 and breadth is 1/4.

To find :

  • Perimeter of reactangle = ?

Figure :-

\setlength{\unitlength}{1.5cm}\begin{picture}(8,2)\linethickness{0.4mm}\put(7.7,3){\large\sf{A}}\put(7.1,2){\sf{\large{3/4 cm}}}\put(7.7,1){\large\sf{B}}\put(9.3,0.7){\sf{\large{1/4 cm}}}\put(11.1,1){\large\sf{C}}\put(11.1,3){\large\sf{D}}\put(8,1){\line(1,0){3}}\put(8,1){\line(0,2){2}}\put(11,1){\line(0,3){2}}\put(8,3){\line(3,0){3}}\end{picture}

Solution :

\boxed{\sf Perimeter\:of\:reactangle = 2 \times \left(length + breadth \right)}

\dashrightarrow\: \sf 2 \times \left(\dfrac{3}{4} + \dfrac{1}{4}\right)

\dashrightarrow\: \sf 2 \times \left(\dfrac{3 + 1}{4} \right)

\dashrightarrow\: \sf 2 \times \dfrac{4}{4}

\dashrightarrow\: \sf 2 \times 1

\dashrightarrow\:  \underline{\boxed{\gray{\textbf{Perimeter = 2 \:cm}}}} \red\bigstar

Therefore, the perimeter of the reactangle is 2 cm.
