perimeter of a circle = 2πr
it is also called circumference of the circle .
in this formula , π is a constant which is equal to 22/7 or 3.14 . we use 22/7 generally but 3.14 can be used if it is indicated in question
r is radius of circle
2πr can be written as πd , as 2 × radius of circle = diameter of circle .
so , 2r = d
if diameter is given in question , formula πd can be used to take out circumference of circle
hope this helps

Hey dear!!
The perimeter of the circle is known as the circumference of the circle in a better way since a circle is a curved figure.
The formula for finding the circumference of a circle is:
2πr or πd
Where 'r' refers to the radius of the circle and 'd' refers to the diameter of the circle.
Hope helped!!
