HCl         →  H+       +  Cl-

10∧-7M     10∧-7M    10∧-7M

H2O       →   H+        + OH-

                   10∧-7M    10∧-7M           ---- ( AT 25°C Kw = 10∧-14 )

so, total H+ ions = 10∧-7M  + 10∧-7M

                            = 2×10∧-7

pH = -㏒ H+

     = -㏒(2×10∧-7)

     = -㏒2 - ㏒10∧-7

     = -0.3010 + 7

      = 6.699
