→ What is the pH scale ?

=> pH : It is a scale for measuring the Hydronium ion concentration . Or in other words , it is the negative log of H+ ions .

=> In pH , the p means 'Potenz' . It is a German word that means - Power . This implies that it measures the power of Hydrogen ions .

=> The pH scale has values from 0 - 14 that yield the following observations :

♦0- 7 : Acidic [ The acidic nature increases towards the left ]

♦7 : Neutral [ Green color ]

♦7-14 : Basic [ The basic nature increases towards the right ]
