In a Common Emitter amplifier, the phase difference between input and output is 180°.

In a emitter setup when the base present AC increases the collector current also increases. Since, the current of the collector increases there is a decrease in the resistance of the collector. The voltage NETT collector is Vcc-drop through the Rc collector resistor. When dropping through RC, it raises the voltage of the collector and becomes 180° out of a phase with the respect to the input.
