Before coming to the answer of this questions, we should have an idea of Fission process of reproduction....

  • Fission is the process in which the body of the parent breaks into several small parts to form a new individual daughter cell. There are 2 kinds of fission:- Binary & Multiple.

Coming to the question:

Leismania - It is a parasite which causes kala-azar, a kind of disease. We can see that they reproduce by binary Fission but the plane of fission is Longitudinal.

Paramaecium - It is a slipper shaped protozoan bearing several Cillia for locomotion and catching prey. It reproduces by Binary fission and the plane of fission is Latitudinal or horizontal.
