The poem “Safety First” is about following the safety rules.

EXPLANATION:

‘Safety First’ is a beautiful poem composed by an unknown author. It is didactic in its tone as it tells the reader to adhere to the safety rules to be followed while crossing the road. The narrator directs us how to cross the road safety.

Before crossing a street one must look up and then down to see if there is any traffic plying along the road. One must carefully listen to the sound of a horn or bell and not run out hastily as there might be a chance of being hit. Once everything is quiet and the road is clear with no cars or motor bikes nearby it is then the best time to cross the road and safely arrive on the other side.
